Laima Ceramics Classic elongated plate.
A contemporary, organic, minimalist stoneware oval plates with ever so slightly irregular edge. Artfully handcrafted from high-fired stoneware, strong and durable for regular use. Laima loves this glaze for the variation it offers, where there is slightly thicker area it pools glossy- reminiscent of ash wood-firing. Where the glaze is thinner its more rustic brown.
Wheel-thrown by Laima in her rural Latvian studio, each piece rests naturally in the palms. Expect variations in tone, texture, and quiet irregularities in form — the hallmark of handmade work.
High-fired to 1260°C, the stoneware becomes dense, vitrified, and non-porous — built for everyday use while retaining its earthy, tactile presence. The glazes are lead- and cadmium-free.
Care: dishwasher safe.
